Las Vegas Convention Center Las
Vegas, NV
Lightworks provided electrical engineering design services for the
expansion and renovation of the Las Vegas Convention Center
totaling 3.8 million square feet and $890 million dollars. Reworking
of the existing control system and expanding it where needed with
new technology required extensive hands-on design and coordination
with the on-site maintenance staff and engineers. Not yet under
construction, this multi-phased project will prove to be an installation
challenge!
Bartle Hall Expansion & Renovation
LightWorks is providing electrical engineering design services for
the Bartle Hall Expansion & Renovation as a WBE consultant for
the MEP engineering consultants. Coordination between a host of
parties is just one hurtle for this massive project. Attention to
existing conditions and final consolidation of all electrical issues
are required before completion of this project.
Blossom House Renovation
LightWorks, Inc. was the lighting consultant for this interesting
project. The Blossom House, built in 1888, was being renovated and
restored. Future tenants are not-for-profit companies seeking space
for both offices and space for entertaining/fundraising. The design
focused on sensitivity to the historic nature, but introduced a
contemporary concept. The new lighting scheme provides quality light
for productive work environments while being flexible and layered
enough for entertaining. Complex dimming systems as well as daylight
harvesting for energy conservation were integral portions of the
design.
Mid-Continent Airport
As Lighting Consultant for this new terminal where aviation got
its' start, LightWorks, Inc. was an integral team member. Being
a LEED project, lighting was integral to meeting the needs of this
spectacular space. Currently under design in 2008.
Municipal Auditorium Lighting Upgrades
LightWorks provided lighting and electrical engineering services
for the emergency lighting upgrades for this old classic. The Municipal
Auditorium was in bad need of emergency lighting. LightWorks provided
design and construction administration services for the upgrades
to this old building. Existing cloth wiring, fuse panelboards, and
lack of detailed as-built drawings were just a few of the hurdles
to overcome for this project. LightWorks incorporated new technology
and introduced emergency lighting that was not only non-obtrusive,
but also utilized existing lighting equipment were possible to minimize
costs. LightWorks was a WBE participant for this project.
N.I.C. Office Building
LightWorks provided electrical engineering services for this small
commercial office building. Working as part of a design-build team
called for quick turn-around of drawings as well as simple solutions
that were budget conscious.
Proctor and Gamble Shopper's Institute
LightWorks collaborated with architects and retail strategists for
this state-of-the-art institute for Proctor and Gamble. The facility
will be used as a learning tool for merchandisers. The lighting
aided in the presentation of the corporate image. Lighting design
features included a domed ceiling with integral accent fixtures
and flexible display lighting for a continually revolving merchandising
layout. Sophisticated dimming systems to create mini 'shows' and
add drama to the presentations was carefully coordinated. Overall,
creative use of fixture selection and applications along with engineered
control systems worked harmoniously to create the desired effects.
Ridgeview Heights Community Center
LightWorks provided electrical engineering services for this small
commercial multi-use building. Spaces included a public computer
room, offices, laundry, kitchen, maintenance area, restrooms, and
a general meeting room. Value engineering and working hand-in-hand
with the electrical contractor brought this project in within the
tight budget.
