When the Missouri Theater in St. Joseph originally opened in 1927, it was a majestic movie house featuring colored lighting and intricate architectural details designed by famed theater architects the Boller Brothers.  In 2002, the theater underwent extensive renovations to bring it back to its early glory.  LightWorks had three main goals when updating the colored lighting system:  bring the colored lighting back to the original intent of the design, make it as maintenance free as possible, and tie it into the theater's existing theatrical control system.  LightWorks used intelligent LED illumination technology to achieve all goals and created bright, rich colored light in many more hues than the original theater.

In 2014, LightWorks was called to further improve the Missouri Theater by updating their stage lighting systems.  The project involved extensive site investigation that resulted in a new theatrical lighting system to last well into the future.  New benefits include motorized electrics, DMX controls and additional rigging locations for more flexibility and options.
