Kathi S. Vandel, P.E., IESNA
Kathi Vandel is an alumnus of Kansas State University, where she
received a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree. She is
a registered Professional Engineer and a LEED Professional. Prior
to forming her own practice, Kathi was a Vice President for Henderson
Engineers in Lenexa, KS. While there, she was a project manager
for large retail clients including The Disney Store and Hallmark
Cards and lead engineer for complex projects such as Farmland Headquarters
and Kansas City Public Library Renovation. She formulated their
specialty lighting division where she served as Director of Design
prior to leaving to start her own firm.
Since forming LightWorks, Inc. in 2002, Kathi has successfully completed
many projects and has earned numerous professional awards throughout
her career.

Allyson A. Evans, E.I.
Allyson Evans began her career in 1997 after graduating from the
University of Kansas with a degree in Architectural Engineering
and emphasis in Lighting Design.
Allyson is fluent in computer aided rendering and calculation programs
such as AGI, Visual, and Aladin as well as Photoshop. She is also
well versed in LEED requirements and documentation for lighting
credits. In addition, Allyson has experience working in a manufacturing
firm which provides her an understanding of luminaire and reflector
design and resulting photometrics. This knowledge allows her to
add affordable, custom fixtures to many of her projects.
Prior to joining LightWorks in 2003, Allyson managed multiple large
projects while acting as principal lighting and electrical designer.

Richard "Trey"
Wiley, E.I., IESNA
Trey Wiley is an alumnus of the University of Kansas, where he received
a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering. Prior to joining
LightWorks, Inc., Trey worked as an engineering project manager
for several consulting engineering firms in Kansas and Colorado.
While at LightWorks, Trey has performed as project manager on a
number of projects, including:

With 16 years of experience, Trey is responsible for all phases
of the design, from conceptual design to construction administration.
Designing a lighting system that is energy efficient is important
to Mr. Wiley. He has worked on a number of projects currently in
design that are pursuing LEED certification. Trey has experience
with energy code compliance and documentation including ASHRAE 90.1,
and IECC and is proficient with AGI (including calculations and
renderings).
Trey has achieved his Professional Engineering License and maintains
licenses in Kansas and Missouri. He is a LEED Accredited Professional.
Trey's professional affiliations include Illuminating Engineering
Society of North America (IES), where he has served as Section Secretary
and Vice President and the National Council of Examiners for Engineering
and Surveying (NCEES).
