Cellar Rat – Kansas City, MO

Cellar Rat Wine Merchants opened in 2006 in an abandoned old building with great charm and potential. Integrated into the overall design theme of this upscale wine retailer, the accent lighting system was designed to replicate metal straps found on wine barrels. Subtle, yet meaningful. Soft uplighting of the existing barreled ceiling enabled the accent to punch up the merchandise for that just right high-end feel for this space.


Chrysler Showroom Prototype Design – Las Vegas, NV and Manhattan, NY

LightWorks, Inc. provided design, layout, specification, and construction administration for the showrooms for the prototype and site adapts for this new dealership concept.


Cradles to Crayons – Lee's Summit, MO

LightWorks, Inc. evaluated the existing architectural lighting layout during the course of construction. Attention was paid to achieving desired contrast ratios for merchandise, while remaining within a tight budget, and restrictive construction schedule. LightWorks was able to change the specifications, assist the owner in direct purchase of materials, and achieve all the desired results within project requirements. This high-end children's clothing retailer can successfully showcase their products with well-specified light fixture and lamping combinations!


HH Gregg – Prototype Support

LightWorks, Inc. provided lighting assistance to the architect including fixture selection, layout, and calculations for this electronics retailer. Evaluation, respacing, and replacement of the existing system resulted in first cost savings for the ambient system as well as increasing the lighting levels, saving energy and reducing maintenance costs throughout the year for the owner!

LightWorks, Inc. provided design assistance and calculations for the architect and electrical engineer on this project. Immediate response to code related issues and assistance in resolution resulted in the obtaining of an occupancy permit that was in jeopardy.


Nebraska Furniture Mart – Kansas City, KS

LightWorks, Inc. provided lighting assistance to the architect and electrical engineer for the 350,000 sq. ft. sales floor of this regional retailer. Initial evaluation of area competitors, establishment of lighting design criteria, recommendation and selection of sales floor luminaires and lamping, construction coordination, and aiming/focusing were services provided.


North Oak & Vivion Shopping Center – Kansas City, MO
LightWorks, Inc. worked with the electrical contractor in the development of plans for the power distribution and 'warm-shell' equipment for this strip shopping center.


Polo Store – Kansas City, MO

LightWorks, Inc. provided lighting design services for this high end retailer located on the prestigious Country Club Plaza. Design included evaluation of existing conditions, recording of light levels, establishment of new lighting standards, comparison to those standards, and an overall new lighting design and specification documentation.
