Katie GreenLC, Lighting Designer graduated from the University of Kansas in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering degree with an emphasis in lighting and Bachelor of Architecture degree. Her responsive approach to architectural lighting is simple, clear and direct. Informed by program and context, her work is carefully crafted, bringing together aesthetic and technical objectives while paying special attention to how lighting integrates into the architecture and the resulting effect of light in the space. Katie is Lighting Certified by National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions. She has been a board member of Kansas City – Heart of America Section of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America as well as President. She has taught lighting related courses at the University of Kansas and University of Missouri – Kansas City. Prior to joining LightWorks in 2012, Katie was Principal Designer and Project Manager for Derek Porter Studio for over nine years.
