The Hollywood Casino at the Kansas Speedway is a new icon to the landscape of Kansas City, Kansas. Landscape lighting creates a sense of place, focusing on the casino. A formal garden approach is terraced with limestone retaining walls where ingrade wall washers create a destination when viewed from the main road. Evergreens in silhouette create interest of form and shadow on the wall. Rhythm, light and shadow combine, building excitement on the journey to an iconic entertainment destination.
