An early LightWorks project, the Swope Memorial continues to stand the test of time. Located in Swope Park, the monument sits prominently, overlooking the Kansas City Zoo. Years of natural deterioration degraded the original structure. Overgrowth and lack of night time illumination caused the memorial to become hidden from view. New floodlighting with exact, calculated beam spreads and soft moonlighting effects along adjacent paths create a dramatic and subtle accent to the memorial which allows visitors to now view the monument from the park's entrance.
