Hotel Sorella on the Country Club Plaza features a blend of modern design and Mediterranean inspiration. Architectural elements playfully evoke the Plaza’s Spanish motifs and materials such as marble floors and intricate wood paneling. Lighting enhances architectural details and enriches the spaces with an additional layer of adornment. Fluorescent coves running the length of the lobby provide ambient illumination and linear pattern. Careful detailing ensured no direct views of lamps and reduced unwanted shadows on vertical surfaces. The large project team successfully maintained the construction budget by working with the contractor during the design process.
