The Kansas City MLB Urban Youth Academy is an indoor/outdoor baseball facility in the city's urban core. The Kansas City Royals, together with the City of Kansas City, State of Missouri and KC Parks and Recreation created an academy with the goal to develop high character, productive members of society and reduce area crime rates locally. LightWorks is honored to have been a part of interior and exterior lighting design for this facility that will provide athletic and educational opportunities for approximately 800 to 1000 youth per year.
